Dress of the week June 27th

Good morning Ladies ! I am finding time from my busy schedule to say hello this morning. As you know we are moving and in a little over 48hours we will leave the house that we moved into as an 18month married couple back in 2006 and subsequently had 4 little ones in. It is for sure a bittersweet feeling realizing we will be departing here but an exciting new adventure awaits in a new house with lots of future memories to make.

Last weekend there was a bunch of packing done so it is easier on us when we leave Tuesday. Our daughter also had a softball tournament so things were busy Saturday. On Sunday after church we drove 90 mins to meet family for fathers day at a local restaurant there. There were 4 generations present which is so special to have the Great Grandfather out and about! The week went quick up until Friday , It was someone birthday in our house, I wont say who !!! But “that” person received some nice presents! We went to a local British style restaurant ( i picked the place) and the food was so good.

Yesterday there was packing ( sorry i am a broken record!) and paint touch up to leave the house nice for the new owners. Some packages arrived for them yesterday and today which was a surprise! We went to Church earlier and later our good friends are coming over for a last meal here !

Dress of the week June 19th

Good  morning  Ladies   how  are  you  today?  It   has   been  for the  most  part  a   very pleasant  week , with the  temperatures  in the   80s which is  more  in line  with  my    heat  level! We  did   have  one   evening  of   heavy rain  and  hail  but it   was  over  in a  few  minutes. 

Summertime!

Last Saturday we did some yardwork as it was getting a little unruly with grass and weeds. We want to leave the place in good hands for the new people who will move in here on June 29th ! We also have a little paint touch up to do inside to make it look welcoming inside too. We got a lot done . Sunday we went to Church and then it was home for a relaxing day with the kids mostly going in the pool. one of our sons had a playdate with a school friend. Monday morning an appraiser came to check on the value of our house and he/she came back and valued it at the same agreed price of the sale!

There  was  a lot of   sports  for the  kids  during the  week, volleyball. softball   baseball   , archery  and   swim  lessons  ,  It is  a juggle   but  we  get it  done !   On  Friday  night our  friend   Crystal brought her  2 kids over  for a bonfire  and   night  swim !  Our  kids  love  the pool at  night too. We  just  keep  a  close eye on them. Her and  her  husband  had  taken the  kids on a  little  bike  trail vacation  form  Wednesday to Friday , and  were  starting to get  tired. 

Tomorrow  for  fathers  day we  are having an extended   family get  together    at  a parade  close to my in-laws   house  so that  should be  fun  weather  permitting.

Dress of the week June 12th !

Good  morning  Ladies !!   I come  to you  on a  cool  day!   After  a  bunch of  days  in the  high 90s and  low  100s   we  are  in the   80s  today, where’s  my  coat??? It  is  way too early  to get  these  temps  in  Minnesota    and  I hope  there  is a   cooler  period. 

Last  Saturday   morning  I  met  my  friend  Claire  for  coffee .   I  first  met  her  at  our  church after  moving  here  and  she is  also Irish! We   had  a  nice  chat  and  caught  up  on life. i  see  her  at  church but  its  nice  to  sit  down  and  relax .   After  that  I  did  some  shopping  , came  home   and  did  a  few   chores.   I also  went  to  see my   daughters  team play softball. They  did  not  have a  good   day in the  searing  heat.

On  Sunday   we  went to   Church, the  feast of  Corpus  Christi .   The  rest  of  the  day  was  pretty  relaxing .   our  youngest  had  swimming  lesson  for  3  days during  the  week.  He is  already part  fish in  our   backyard  pool  but  he  is  getting  fine  tuned  with  teachers. There  was  also  softball  and  baseball  activities.  Yesterday  our  youngest  celebrated  his  6th  birthday!!  He  requested  to go to  Applebee’s  for   dinner  and  also  he  got  a   minions  cake! Not to forget  all the  generosity  from  family  here  and  overseas!

Dress of the week June 5th!

Good morning Ladies , how are you today? After having morning frost here just 3 and a half weeks ago , yesterday we reached 100f (37c) in a week that gradually crept up to that temp. It seems a little early for those temps but is going to stay in the 90s for a few days. I am glad we have our pool set up !

So  last  week  we   were out of  town  for  the  long  weekend at my in-laws and also  as  our  house  was  just  put on the  market to  sell ! There  were   viewings  on  Friday  with some interest { I had said  there were offers  made on Friday  but  in fact we were  told that someone was going to make an offer but  had not that  day)    On  Saturday  there  were  morning  appointments   and  then  at 1-3 there was  an open house. Our  realtor  who has been in the  business  0ver  30 years  said he never  seen  such an amount of people  for an open house , and  on a  holiday  weekend! We  were  expecting offers  to come in  Saturday  evening  but  they  did not.   We   came home  Sunday around  midday  and  had to leave soon after  for  a  showing.  There  was  also  a late  afternoon  showing . Our  realtor  came over in the  evening  and  said  we  had  received  an offer!!!!  The  people  who  viewed it early  made a  nice offer  and  we  accepted , it  was  such a  relief I can tell you!!  We  have  heard  they are  a  young  couple  who are renting right now  and  have to be out of  their  place at  the  end of the  month .  Reminds me of  us when  we  moved  in,   with the same  circumstances as them.  We  are  doing our  house  closing on  June 29th in the  morning and   closing our  new  home in the  afternoon.  Thank God it all worked out !

So our  weekend  away  was  so  nice ! We   relaxed at  my in-laws  house  early (they were at  their camper  30 mins away)  Then we  drove to my brother-in-laws and  his  wife’s  house  to  meet  our baby  nephew Stanley!  He  is  just  adorable  and  brought  back  memories of our  kids  at  that  age. he is  a  month old  but  is  such a   strong   baby  for his age. 

 After  leaving Stanley and  his  parents we went to the  camper  for  dinner   and  were  treated  to  Sauerkraut  and  dumplings !  Our  2 older  boys  stayed  with  their  grandparents  overnight in the  camper and  we  picked them up Sunday Morning.  It  was  nice relaxing at  home  Monday , our  friends  Brandon  Josette  and  Maddi  came over  for  a  visit Monday afternoon. The  kids  were  back to  school Tuesday  and  were  finished  for  the  summer  Wednesday at  noon!   They are  happy  to  be on  vacation. 

We  have  a little   work to do  at  house  today to  be  ready for leaving  June  29th  but  nothing  too hectic.
