Good morning Ladies! I hope you are doing well, it has been wet the past few days and the autumnal falling of leaves is gathering pace! Last Sunday we visited a local orchard and had fun picking apples and sampling some great varieties. It is wonderful for little kids to get into apple picking and nature in general. We also went on a hayride , the two older boys went twice! On tuesday we celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. The years are moving fast and we have 4 kids to show for it ! We hope to celebrate next weekend as our babysitter away this weekend. We have one more year to go before our daughter can babysit and make some money for her.

The kids are looking forward to wednesday and halloween. It will be a quick get home from school eat and get dressed for trick or treating! Does anyone else think halloween needs to be a day off holiday?

Hello Ladies! I am late in writing this weeks post . It can get busy with our kids and their friends during a sleepover . it is 2.50pm and I have the youngest down for a nap so I feel like its my turn to rest too! its amazing how using a keyboard can feel like resting. The kids had thursday and friday off school due to the annual teachers conference.

The leaves are changing so nicely here .

The above were taken on wednesday but on Sunday Oct 14th this happened!snow! It stuck to the ground but was gone after a few hours. Its early but its Minnesota.We had a firepit put in two weeks ago and here is a photo of it. We hope to light our first fire before winter.

Dress of the week October 13th (Courtney time!)

Good morning ladies , how is your weekend going? Last weekend we did an exciting home project by putting in a firepit. Actually our neighbor Brandon did most of the work after we bought the brick and pearock to form it! He had to dig down a little and the project took about 3 hours. He wouldnt accept payment but did accept a few beers! Parent teacher conferences were on thursday and I am happy to say things are going well for the 3 school age kids! Today we are going to my in-laws to hang out and stay the night. The kids love to stay over. My father in-law surprised us with tickets to see the vikings football tomorrow! They will look after the kids while we get some adult time away! Thank you to Him!

Today I am concluding the blog friends feature for dress of the week. Last up (but certainly not least !) is Courtney a sweet young woman who comes from Texas but now living in Birmingham , Alabama. Courtney went to college in Oklahama city and while there met Jake , they got married in 2014. Courtney’s website is called “A Byers guide ” Byers being her married last name . See her website here. She is also on Instagram. Jake is in medical school and is doing his residency at the moment in Birmingham. Courtney just this week accepted a new job at a ministry . She discovered the position through a bible study group and and her role will be administrative needs, event planning and fundraising. Best wishes and prayers on your new position!

Courtney’s blog encompasses fashion, beauty, travel to home decor. I was drawn to it right away after starting my blog!

Dress of the week October 6th( Its Natalie!)

Hello ladies , how is your October going so far? Ours is good if slighty cool and wet. We woke up to a frosty Saturday last week, brrr and it was still in September! I am so not ready fro winter but really I never am ! I have not adjusted to the 6 months that winter stays in Minnesota. I took our two older boys to day of the dozers last saturday and they had a fun time despite the cold.

The kids get to go in with the driver for 5 minutes and help dig. A boys dream but it was nice to see little Girls enjoying it too. Our Church had volunteer appreciation coffee and donuts put on by the office staff for all the people who help out in any way. It was fun to be served but I will be hosting in the coming weeks for coffee and Donuts which I will look forward to.

This week I would like to introduce you to Natalie , a lovely young Lady living in Perth Western Australia. Her website MissMuse blog is used to share fashion tips, tricks and advice . How nice is that ? Natalie in addition works as a freelance stylist & fashion marketing consultant. She gives detailed and in depth information about her look and clothing choices in each post which I love! I am so happy to have a great blogging friend in her, half a world away!
