Dress of the week July 28th

Hello  ladies!!     I  hope  your  weekend  is  going  good.    We  have  had  a  busy  start to  it, our  daughter  was  playing  in  the  10u   softball  nationals on  thursday,  friday  and  saturday!  They  won  some  games  but  did  not  get  enough  to  advance .  The  season  is  over  for  them  now.  We  are  all  proud  of  their  achievment  in   getting  to  this  stage , it  was  a great  team  effort.   Then  also  this  weekend  my  in-laws  gifted us  ,  the  kids ,  my  brother  in law  and  his  wife  and  3  kids   a  one  night  stay  at  the  great  wolf  kodge  in  Bloomington  Mn.  It  is  a  big  water  park  with  many  great  slides  .  We  checked  in  friday  afternoon  late  and  checked  out  at  2pm  today.  Many  thanks  for  the  gift!!  We  were  juggling  water  park  and  softball  but  it  all  worked  out.

Dress of the week July 21

Good  morning  ladies!  This  summer  keeps  rolling  along  in  such   fast  pace , it  needs  to  slow  down  a  bit!  Last  weekend  we  went  to  my  in-laws  town  where  they  had  a festival  finishing  off  with  a  grand  parade  ,  everyone  comes  out  to  watch  and  the  parade  marchers  throw  out  candy  to  the  ever  eager  kids  lining  the  route. We  stayed  there until Sunday  evening,  went  to  Church  there   and  in  the  afternoon  the  kids  went  swimming  in  their  cousins  pool , such  a great  time  was  had!  Then  it  was  back  to  the  regular  week of   work  and  kids activities .The  2  older  boys  go  to  summer  camp  for   a few  hours  each  day.  Our  kitchen  faucet  went  bad  during  the  week , low  water  flow  through  it  so  we  decided  to purchase  a  brand  new  one(I  know  big  spenders!)  as  it  was  getting  old. We got  it  installed  ourselves and it  works  great. We  have  a  waffle breakfast  to  attend  at  a  firehouse this  morning ,  a   friend  of  ours  is  a  firefighter  and  there  town  festival  is  on  ,  a  great  way  to  make  funds  for  the  house . We   will  meet  his  wife  and  girls  there  and  he  will  be  working  the  event.  Then  tomorrow  morning  we  have  our  parish  picnic at  church  which  is  a  great  event  as  long  as  weather  cooperates, otherwise  it  will  move  indoors.

Dress of the week July 14th

Good  morning  to  you  all!!  It  is  a   beautiful  morning here  in  the  low  80s  ,  better  than   90s during  the week  with  humidity  thrown  in  too. Last  weekend our  daughter  was  playing  softball  and  they  had  mixed  fortunes ,  they  won  two  and  lost two.  If  you  lose  two  you  are  out  of the  tournament  ,  so they  just  played  one  game  on  Sunday  morning. The  two older  boys  went  to  their  Grandparents  camper  from  friday  to  Sunday  as  a  surprise! Their  camper  is  a  5th wheel that  you  pull  behind  a  truck , it is very  nice , spacious  and  very   new .  A  lot  of  Minnesotans  have  cabins  on  the  many  lakes throughout  the  state ,  but  there  is  a  lot  of  maintenance  having  one , so  my  in-laws prefer  to  go  to  a  camper  park  rather  than  own  a  cabin.  We  are  not  at  that  stage to  own  either  yet !  We  are  going  to  the  in-laws  today  too,  their  town  festival  is  taking  place   and  finishes  off  with  a  parade which  the  kids  enjoy  as  the  marchers  throw  out  candy  as  they go  past!

Dress of the week July 7th

Hello  ladies  ,  how  is  your  weekend  going??  I  am  late  posting  again ,  I  didnt  get  it  out  yesterday  morning  as  we  had  to  be  on  the  road  early  for  our  daughters softball tournament.  It  was  an  hour  drive  away  and  we had to  be  there  at  9.45   so  there  were  coolers  to  pack  etc. We   celebrated  the  4th  of  July  on  wednesday.  We  had  planned  on  going  to  a  parade  in  a  local  town  at  11am  but  it was    a  terrible  morning  with  downpours  of  rain on   a  few  occasions so   canceled  that. We   stayed  home but  did  go  to  fireworks   at  another  local  town  at  10pm.   It  was  a  short  work  week by  having  the  4th  in  the  middle but was  a little  harder  to  take  a  long  weekend  off!   Our  2  older  sons  went  with  their  grandparents  to  stay  at  their  camper for  the  weekend . It  was  strange  just  having  2  kids  at  the  house!
